Mission needs school supplies
Arkansas Valley Christian Mission Station will distribute school supplies to about 90 mission children beginning Monday, Aug. 16. The children are in kindergarten through high school.

Following is a list of most needed items: new backpacks (medium and large), washable watercolor paints, glue sticks, washable watercolor markers (fine-tip, 12-packs), black extra-fine-point Sharpies markers, black dry erase markers, yellow highlighter markers, 12-pack colored pencils, erasable-ink pens, pink bar erasers, closed pencil sharpeners, college-ruled three-hole notebook paper, three-ring binders, tab dividers for binders, composition notebooks, rulers, folders with pockets and clasps, 3x5 index cards, No. 2 pencils, compasses and protractors. These items are taken from the supply lists handed out to students.

Items may be dropped off at Arkansas Valley Christian Mission Station, 122 Cottonwood Ave. in Buena Vista, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Monetary donations may be dropped off at the mission or mailed to P.O. Box 4646, Buena Vista, CO 81211. Deadline for donations is Friday, Aug. 13. More information is available at 395-9321.
